Gas Fireplace Odor Smoke Alarm Our Gas Fireplace Keeps Triggering Our Smoke Alarm?

Our Gas Fireplace keeps Triggering our Smoke Alarm? - gas fireplace odor smoke alarm

It is one of the chimneys, which do not "need" from the exhaust pipe, allegedly burned all the gas. However, in a few minutes after they leave an unpleasant odor in the room and within minutes the smoke detector, about twenty meters, the height soared.

Suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Other facts: It is new and not used for over an hour in total. I have a CO detector within ten feet of him, who never recorded measurable reading.

Is it something new (the chimney)? If so, could be a reflection of oil or something about this to prevent the manufacturer (against corrosion or oxidation after manufacture), it must burn. And vapors is a department may be sufficient to detect smoke causes the alarm to.

Disconnect the battery from the smoke detector. Ventilate the room and open windows (and run a fan) and run the fireplace for a while. Then see if the smell is gone and not go out of the smoke detector. Once you reach the point where they do not feel Funny Anymore, you can use as usual.
